The goal is to strategically improve the HEYI bookstore's CI/BI to clarify its brand identity, strengthen consistency in visual and verbal identity, enhance customer recognition, and secure competitiveness.

I sought to maintain the familiarity of the brand for existing customers while incorporating modern design elements to create a balanced brand identity that resonates with both traditional reading culture and digitally inclined younger readers.


The final deliverables redefined the bookstore's brand with greater clarity and sophistication through a new CI/BI system, ensuring a consistent brand experience across online and offline platforms. By strengthening emotional connections with customers, the solution enhanced brand recognition and created an immersive brand experience.

Brand Logo & Symbol

The newly designed brand logo and symbol harmoniously blend tradition and modern aesthetics through sophisticated typography and balanced proportions inspired by an open book. The symbol, inspired by the act of stacking books, visually represents 'movement, curiosity, and discovery,' effectively conveying the bookstore’s commitment to sharing knowledge and stories while ensuring a consistent brand experience across both online and offline platforms.

Brand Color

The brand color system is designed with a deep black tone as the foundation, symbolizing the depth of knowledge found in books and the warmth of a cozy night. Complementary colors inspired by aged paper and traditional seals are harmoniously integrated to add depth and sophistication to the visual identity. By balancing neutral tones with vibrant accent colors, the system ensures a consistent brand experience across online and offline platforms while effectively conveying the bookstore’s warm and immersive reading culture.

Brand Experience Design

The bookstore's brand experience is designed to provide a consistent and immersive journey across both online and offline platforms. The offline environment, featuring cozy reading spaces and a retro ambiance, is complemented by a thoughtfully curated brand design that fosters a strong emotional connection with customers, regardless of location. This approach ensures that the process of discovering books itself becomes an engaging experience, sparking curiosity and maximizing the joy of reading.
