Project Proposal

Goal

The goal is to develop and optimize quantitative investment strategies by leveraging stock data insights and strategic algorithm techniques, building a robust and scalable investment approach.

Challenge

We sought to deeply understand the expectations and behaviors of diverse user groups, ranging from everyday charging users to long-distance travelers, and explore innovative design solutions that account for charging station location, availability, and technical limitations.

Outcome

The final deliverable, based on a journey map visualizing key pain points and opportunities in the user journey, proposed actionable solutions derived from a validated prototype tested with real users.

Discover

Electric Vehicle Trend

According to McKinsey's 2019 analysis, the global electric vehicle market is rapidly expanding, driven by continuous technological innovation and the widespread adoption of eco-friendly policies, with an impressive annual growth rate of approximately 60%. As a result of this growth, global electric vehicle sales reached 2.1 million units in 2018, highlighting the emergence of electric vehicles as a core component of the automotive industry.

Discover

Desk Research

According to the annual report on electric vehicle adoption published by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport in August 2019, the adoption rate of electric vehicles exceeds the number of charging stations by approximately 2.5 times. Notably, only 5% of parking lots are equipped with EV charging facilities, leading to not only a shortage of charging stations but also illegal parking due to insufficient parking spaces. This highlights the urgent need for the expansion of EV infrastructure and its efficient management.

Discover

User Interview

Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 10 electric vehicle owners to gain deep insights into their charging experiences, expectations, and unmet needs. This interview method was based on a predefined question framework while encouraging respondents to freely share their opinions and experiences. This approach was designed to capture emotional and situational contexts that are difficult to identify through quantitative data. Through these interviews, we systematically analyzed users' actual pain points and potential areas for improvement.

Define

UX Concept

Data collected through user interviews was systematically organized and deeply analyzed to uncover the core needs and potential improvement opportunities for electric vehicle users. Insights gained from this process were centered around recurring issues and opportunities identified in users' behavioral patterns and experiences, forming the basis for initial hypotheses. These hypotheses were utilized as strategic guidelines for developing a user-centered rechargeable battery service and played a pivotal role throughout the overall service design process.

Define

Charging Solution

Through desk research, we analyzed the technical specifications related to past EV charging methods and derived a formula to estimate charging times. Based on this analysis, the solution utilizing a 150kWh charging battery was reviewed, revealing a charging time of 2.2 hours. This was evaluated as a practical and appealing alternative for both commercial entities and individual users.

Define

Ecosystem Map

It is designed to deeply analyze the interactions between users, various stakeholders, and the core elements that constitute the ecosystem. This process involves understanding the overall structure of the ecosystem through desk research and field studies, systematically defining its components and interactions, and creating a visual map to represent them.

Develop

Business Model Canvas

We systematically designed and built a Business Model Canvas strategy that organically integrates real-world problems with practical solutions, helping startups overcome challenges and achieve sustainable growth. This approach harmonizes business objectives with user needs, supporting efficient resource allocation and the development of actionable strategies.

Develop

User Flow

We designed a user flow that visually represents the entire journey of users utilizing the charging service. This flow systematically outlines each step, from searching for charging stations to making reservations and payments, and completing the charging process. Through this, we identified key touchpoints and potential pain points in the user experience.

Develop

Prototype

Using Origami Studio, we created advanced prototypes that precisely implemented interactions and transition effects, allowing for a detailed simulation of the interface as users would experience it in real environments. These prototypes were utilized for initial concept validation and played a crucial role in improving the intuitiveness and usability of the design solutions.
